I just had a stay at this hotel that was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were a bit small and stuffy, not exactly a clean freak's paradise, but they did come equipped with all the essentials, and after I brought up an issue with the A/C, it was promptly taken care of. The service was reasonably good, with staff available 24/7 at the parking lot across the hotel, which was convenient for my late-night arrivals. The location was truly a highlight, near everything in Montreal, making it easy for me to get around to the conference venue and other attractions. The dining experience left much to be desired, with low-quality options and a rather noisy air conditioning system. On the other hand, the facilities were decent overall.

The hotel's location is perfect, walking distance to old Montreal, the port, Notra Dam Bascillica, and other places of interest. The rooms, however, were not clean and had a strong deodorant smell, causing severe allergies. The service was friendly but a bit cold. The dining experience was miserable with limited and stale options. The facilities were average.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's fantastic location, close to all the activities I wanted to do, and the friendly and helpful service I received. However, my room experience was a bit of a rollercoaster with temperature issues and misinformation about the room size and amenities.
Rooms
6.0
My room was at the back, so it was relatively quiet, but I found it very hot the first night. I ended up freezing with the aircon on full blast until I opened the window. Contrary to what was advertised, the room was not as big and well-equipped as expected.
Service
8.0
The staff were really friendly and helpful, making my stay more comfortable. Although they may seem a bit distant at first, they were polite, professional, friendly, and super helpful in the end.
Location
7.0
The location was excellent, close to Montreal's main transit hubs like Berri-UQAM metro station. However, the presence of a massive unsightly building in front of the hotel somewhat overshadowed the convenience.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was okay, offering basic Continental-style options like muffins and croissants, but I wish there were more fresh fruit choices available.

The hotel had good wifi, which was important for me to catch up on work in the evenings, and it never smelled bad. However, the rooms were not cleaned or vacuumed, and there was no washroom cleaning at all. From my experience, the temperature was too hot at times.
Rooms

The rooms needed better cleaning maintenance, but the wifi was reliable.

Dining
5.0
The dining options were very poor and of bad quality, offering only correct choices without proper seating.

6.6/10
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, close to the subway and convenient for exploring Montreal, but the room I was given in the basement was not ideal. The service was friendly, but the constant reminder to be quiet after 10:00 pm was a bit off-putting. The dining experience was minimal, offering basic options like toast and jam. Despite these setbacks, the hotel had its charms.
Rooms
5.0
My room was in the basement, with a very tiny window, dirty curtains, and a strong odor that triggered allergies. It didn't seem adequately cleaned or vacuumed, and the bathroom had its issues.
Service
7.0
The housekeeping staff were attentive, even if the requirement to be quiet after 10:00 pm was slightly enforced. They were quick to address any concerns and were accommodating during my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was close to the subway, making it easy to explore Montreal. It was also centrally located, which was convenient for getting around.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were minimal and basic, offering standard breakfast fare. It wasn't the most exciting dining experience, but it served its purpose.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a few facilities to offer, but nothing particularly outstanding or noteworthy.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were relatively quiet despite the loud engine sound above the bed, and I had to improvise with the air conditioning being too cold by opening the window. The price was fair for what I got.
Rooms
6.0
The room was relatively quiet, but the engine sound above the bed was horrible, making it hard to sleep. It was a bit cold at night due to the air conditioning, which was uncomfortable.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and helpful, although there was a small issue with a tour booking. Overall, the staff was the highlight of my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was pretty convenient, close to a major street and the metro station. Despite the nearby building, it was a good spot to explore Montreal.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not great, with poor quality breakfast. I would recommend finding alternatives outside the hotel for meals.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were average, nothing outstanding but served their purpose. Expect the basics without any luxury amenities.
